A company with Czech capital, Premier Energy, has decided to list on the main market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, according to a company announcement last week Yesterday, JT Grup, one of the largest fuel distributors in Constanţa County, announced its listing on AeRO on the ZF Deschiderea de Otaje show Both listings would take place following increases in share capital.

Two companies from the energy sector announced their intentions to list on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in less than a week. Premier Energy, the company that bought CEZ Vânzare in Romania and one of the biggest players in the renewable energy industry, wants to come to the main market of BVB, intending to obtain around 100 million euros through a share capital increase.

Its main shareholder, EMMA Alpha Holding, plans to sell shares worth approximately 25 million euros. The holding has ca main investor Czech billionaire Jiri Smejc, CEO of PPF, the largest investment fund in the region, which, among other assets, also owns Pro TV in Romania.

Subsequently, the fuel distribution group JT Grup Oil – which recently completed the first stage of development of a 25 million euro oil products terminal – announced its debut plan on the AeRO market. Following the listing, which would also come after a capital increase, the existing capitalization would increase by 12 million euros, up to 14 million euros, said the majority shareholder Jean Paul Tucan for ZF yesterday. The two debuts would mark the first share listings on the BVB from Hidroelectrica (H2O), i.e. from July 2023. Analysts suggested that the local listing market could be unfrozen with the long-awaited offer carried out by the most profitable company in the Romanian state’s portfolio .

Also yesterday, the Bucharest Stock Exchange launched the seventh edition of the Made in Romania program, which, starting this year, will be called BVB Arena. The program intends to identify the future engines of the Romanian economy, supporting them to take their businesses to a higher level, including through a potential listing on the BSE.

The event also marked the end of the previous program, whose list of finalist companies included names such as Ascendia, Farmacia Tei, Grup Şerban, Bookster and Exonia.
