One of the projects presented by Gabriel Lazany, the PSD candidate for Bistrita City Hall, foresees the demolition of the casino in Eminescu and the extension of the park. The project also provides for an underground parking lot, which would solve the problem of the lack of parking spaces in the area.
The park in Gabriel Lazany’s project would cover 12,000 square meters, and the parking lot would have no less than 900 parking spaces. The project provides relaxation areas with benches and sunbeds, playgrounds for children, artesian fountain, public toilets.
Gabriel Lazany considers expropriation for the eventuality of the materialization of this project, claiming that there is special legislation for these procedures, and the owners of the assets taken over are compensated at their fair value. According to him, that building has 3 owners: the County Council, Metropolis Grup and EMI Corporation.
“We do not do nationalization. We do not take a good from someone. We will take over the respective asset, according to the legal provisions, on the basis of which the rightful owners will receive a fair compensation, fairly valued, according to the legal provisions”, said Gabrial Lazany, at Bistrițeanul Live.
Gabriel Lazany says that he would materialize this project in a maximum of one year, including the project, the tender and the execution of the works. He also said that the value of the project would be lower than that of the underground passage in the station area prepared by the current mayor.
