The Bistrita Local Police ordered the emergency removal from the public domain of three hand-made electoral display bodies, not properly fixed, with a height of approximately seven meters and placed on the public domain without authorization. They could fall on people at any time, especially in wind code orange conditions.

“This morning, it was ordered to remove from the public domain some bodies and display panels placed without holding the necessary authorizations.

The bodies were handmade, not properly fixed and without minimal security elements in case of wind intensifications.

The orange code, announced for today by the National Meteorological Administration, hastened the municipality’s decision to order the removal of these bodies that can represents a risk of serious accidents.

On the occasion of the movement of the local police in the identified areas, it was found the existence of a number of 3 displays with a height of approximately 7 meters, which, in addition to obscuring the visibility of traffic participants in the intersections, can represent a danger in the event of bursts of wind.

We also want to send a message to all those who consider compliance with the legislation on the placement of fixtures and display panels optional that we will not hesitate to use all the levers provided by the legal framework to prevent such dangers.

The safety of citizens and possibly property is above the interests of some people or organizations,” the Local Police said.

In a Facebook post, titled “PSD, take your hands off Bistrita!”, deputy mayor Sorin Hangan, president of PNL Bistrita, wrote:

“Look, dear friends, how the PSD people are doing the election campaign: they tied the metal scaffolds with wire, covered them with some bags and threw them in crowded places in Bistrita without any authorization.

If you give Bistrita back into their hands, you will have everything you already know they are capable of doing: breaking the law in their own interest. I can give you only one proof: the buildings with more floors than expected.

Bistrița is in good hands when the law is law for all and when no one is above it. We cleaned today, don’t be fooled! On June 9, you know what you have to do!”
