The “Gong” Sibiu Children’s and Youth Theater presents this weekend a series of 26 animated short films dedicated to children. The films will be presented in three thematic series, between April 5 and 7, from 11:00 a.m.

Talking animals and welcoming houses” brings together a series of eight animated short films in which the characters are either wild animals in surprisingly gentle or empathetic roles, concerned with the fate of the planet, or fierce animals captured in funny moments. The animations are created without dialogues and have a duration of 47 minutes, being recommended for children over 6 years old. The series “Talking Animals and Cozy Houses” will be screened on Friday, April 5 from 11:00 a.m. and includes the following program:

  • Treasures of Greece (10’48)
  • Koyaa – the slippery soap (2’45)
  • The Penguin (3’37)
  • Home (7’43)
  • Garden with love (3’44)
  • Mishou (7’00)
  • Roborul and the Whale (6’21)
  • The Lion (3’37)

“Traveling Kite” brings together a series of nine videos in which characters communicate without words, objects in the house come to life, and nature gives us some mysteries to solve that test both our imagination and logic. The screening has a duration of 51 minutes and is recommended for children aged between 4 and 9 years. The “Traveling Kite” series will be screened on Saturday, April 6, from 11:00 a.m. and includes the following titles:

  • Koyaa – the playful paper (2’45)
  • Mr. Night has the day off (2’00)
  • The Kite (13’05)
  • Knock Knock (3’56)
  • Mitch-Match (2’12)
  • The Cloud (4’44)
  • Prince Ki-Ki-Do: The Hunt (5’00)

  • Balloona Laguna (6’35)

The animation program ends with a series that challenges us to think about nature, recycling, solutions to consume as little plastic as possible, methods to keep the planet as clean as possible, to save resources, to make cities as clean as possible. friendly to all living things that live in them. “Friends of nature” has a duration of 51 minutes and is presented with Romanian subtitles. The short film series is recommended for children aged 7+ and includes the following titles:

“We are returning to the Gong stage with a series of animations selected from the ANIMEST program, the only animation festival in Romania. We proposed an educational program to offer a good alternative to spending free time with family, friends or colleagues. At the same time, through these events we aim to develop a new audience that will enjoy an agenda especially dedicated to the youngest in our city,” said Adrian Tibu, manager of the Theater for Children and Youth in Sibiu.

The cost of a ticket to any of the screenings is 12 lei, a single, flexible rate, within the limits of available seats. Tickets went on sale online via teatrulgong.ro, but also at the headquarters of the Theater Agency in str. Alexandru Odobescu no. 4, Wednesday to Friday from 11:00 to 18:00, Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00.
