On April 1 this year, following the expansion of the investigations and the administered evidence, the police officers of the Criminal Investigations Bureau ordered the detention, for 24 hours, of eight people from Bistrita and Pinticu, investigated for committing the crimes of disturbing public order and peace and assault or other violence.

The persons in question, aged between 16 and 46, were brought into the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the Bistrita-Năsăud County Police Inspectorate. Later, following the hearings, the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bistrita Court ordered six of the detained persons to be placed under judicial control for 60 days.

The investigations in this case are continued by the policemen of the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Bistrita Municipality Police to document the entire criminal activity of the people involved.

Sentenced to prison, escorted to the penitentiary by the police

On April 1 this year, the police officers of the Criminal Investigation Service, Prosecution Department, implemented a warrant for the execution of the prison sentence issued, on the same day, by the Bistrita Court.

The warrant was issued in the name of a 27-year-old man from Dumitrita, sentenced to 2 years in prison for the crime of hitting or other violence.

The person in question was escorted to the penitentiary by the officers of the Follow-up Department.

Irregularities in the road regime, investigated by the police of the Road Service, as part of a criminal case

On April 1 this year, the Road Service police officers intervened in a road accident, reported through SNUAU 112, on a street in Prundu Bârgăului.

From the first checks carried out on the spot, it emerged that a 17-year-old young man from Prundu Bârgăului, while driving a motorcycle, lost control of the direction in a curve and overturned in a rainwater collection ditch. As a result of the accident, the young man was injured and transported to the hospital.

Following the checks, the police found that the motorcycle was not registered, and the young man in question does not have a driver’s license for any vehicle category. The young man could not be tested with the devices provided, as his biological samples were collected.

A criminal case has been drawn up in the case, and investigations are continuing for the offenses of causing bodily harm, driving a vehicle without a driver’s license and driving an unregistered vehicle.

On the night of April 1st, around 11:50 p.m., as part of the monitoring and control actions, the policemen of Section 3 of the Lechința Rural Police stopped a car with foreign license plates driving on County Road 151, through Lechința.
A 42-year-old man, a Hungarian citizen, was identified at the wheel, and following his breathalyzer test, the indicated result was 0.61 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.
Having been requested to collect biological samples in order to determine the alcohol level, the man in question refused, which is why the police have drawn up a criminal case for committing the crime of refusing or evading the taking of biological samples.
