Weather warning for wind intensifications with gusts of 50 – 65 km/h in most of the territory, and locally, in Crisana, Maramureș, Transilvania, Moldova and Muntenia, up to 70 – 90 km/h, for Tuesday, 2 April.
After several days with unusually high temperatures, a cold atmospheric front will cross Romania from west to east, during today’s day.
The large temperature contrast between the warm air mass installed in recent days and the cold air behind the front will cause strong wind intensifications in most of the country, which will also have the appearance of a gale in some areas.
Maximum gusts will reach 50 – 65 km/h in extended areas, and locally up to 70 – 90 km/h and even 90 – 100 km/h in mountain areas.
The wind will weaken in intensity towards the evening, with the cooling of the weather. However, warmer air will penetrate over our country from Wednesday. Even if the values of the weekend will not be reached, the weather will be warm in the second part of the week, with maximum temperatures between 16 and 23°C.
