The drivers chose criminal cases

It was a busy weekend for Prahoven police officers. Following the checks made on several roads in the county, the agents had to deal with drivers who were behind the wheel drunk, drugged, or who were driving unregistered cars, with expired provisional numbers or without a driver’s license for any category of vehicles.

Several drivers were caught, on Saturday and Sunday, driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages or psychoactive substances.

A 44-year-old man from the town of Ciorani was caught behind the wheel with a breath alcohol level of 1.28 mg/l of pure alcohol. Moreover, the man from Prahov did not have a driver’s license for any category of vehicle.

Another 19-year-old young man, from the Bucov commune, was caught by the police driving on a street in Ploiesti with expired provisional license plates. In the case, a criminal file was drawn up under the aspect of committing the offense of putting into circulation or driving an unregistered vehicle.

“On March 30 this year, around 3:15 p.m., policemen from the Câmpina Municipality Police, while acting on County Road 100 E, stopped, for control, a vehicle (enduro motorcycle) driven by a 47-year-old man from Poiana Câmpina commune. Following the checks carried out, the police found that the vehicle was not registered. In the case, a criminal file was drawn up under the aspect of committing the offense of putting into circulation or driving an unregistered vehicle.

On March 30 this year, around 7:15 p.m., traffic police officers from the Ploiești Municipality Police, while performing their duties, on Emile Zola Street, in the municipality, stopped, for control, a car driven by a 34-year-old man from the city of Bucharest. After testing with the device provided, indications emerged regarding the possible presence of psychoactive substances.

We note that this is not evidence in the criminal case, the person being taken to a medical facility, for the collection of biological samples, in order to accurately establish the consumption of prohibited substances. In the case, a criminal file was drawn up for the offense of driving a motor vehicle under the influence of psychoactive substances.

On March 30 this year, at around 8:45 p.m., traffic police officers from the Ploiești Municipality Police, while acting on Take Ionescu street in the municipality, stopped, for control, a car driven by a 19-year-old man from Bucov commune. Following the checks carried out, the police found that the validity of the provisional numbers had expired. In the case, a criminal file was drawn up under the aspect of committing the offense of putting into circulation or driving an unregistered vehicle.

Also on the evening of March 30 this year, around 9:00 p.m., the police officers from the Ciorani Rural Police Station, while they were performing their duties in the commune, stopped, for control, a car, driven by a 44-year-old man for years, from the commune. Following the checks carried out in the databases, the police found that the man in question does not appear as a driver’s license holder for any category of vehicles. Since the driver exuded alcoholic breath, he was tested with the breathalyzer, which indicated the value of 1.28 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.

Later, the man in question was taken to a medical facility for the collection of biological blood samples in order to determine the alcohol level. In the case, a criminal case was drawn up for committing the crime of driving a motor vehicle on public roads by a person under the influence of alcoholic beverages and driving a vehicle without a driver’s license.

Later, at around 10:30 p.m., the traffic policemen from the Sinaia City Police, while they were in the exercise of their duties, on Ferdinand Boulevard, in the city, stopped, for control, a car, driven by a 21-year-old young woman, from Covasna county. Since the driver exuded alcoholic breath, it was tested with the breathalyzer, which indicated the value of 0.46 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.

Later, the young woman in question was taken to a medical unit for the collection of biological blood samples in order to determine the alcohol level. In the case, a criminal case was drawn up for committing the crime of driving a motor vehicle on public roads by a person under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

On March 31 this year, around 01:00, the police officers of the Ciorani Rural Police Station, while they were in the exercise of their duties, on the National Road 1D, in the Ciorani commune, stopped, for control, a car driven by a young man 22 years old, from the commune. After testing with the device provided, indications emerged regarding the possible presence of psychoactive substances. We note that this is not evidence in the criminal case, the person being taken to a medical facility, for the collection of biological samples, in order to accurately establish the consumption of prohibited substances. In the case, a criminal file was drawn up for the offense of driving a motor vehicle under the influence of psychoactive substances.
