The fate of Euroins will be decided in March. The question is how much money ASF will ask the Bulgarians for the capital

The entire insurance market is waiting for the report of the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) regarding the capital requirement of Euroins, but at the moment the control is still being carried out within the company by the representatives of the ASF. It is certain that the fate of Euroins will be decided at the end of March, and the question on everyone’s lips is how much money the Bulgarians will need to bring to the capital of Euroins Romania.

Daniel Apostol, the spokesperson of the ASF, told ZF that the control action is not completed, and at the appropriate time everything that the law will allow to be communicated will be communicated. In the meantime, Nicolae Ciucă, the Prime Minister of Romania, is said to have requested to talk with the heads of ASF to see exactly what the situation is in the market, mentioning that there would be two options, either Euroins goes into insolvency, or ASF will provide enough space to be able to recapitalize, according to the information appearing in the public space. Although the ASF control is not yet completed, the amount that Euroins Romania would need for capital and which is circulated amounts to 400 million euros, and at the end of March the whole market will wait for the fate of the company to be decided.
