Bees, along with other pollinating insects, are nature’s true heroes. Representatives of the Environmental Protection Inspectorate claim that they are responsible for pollinating more than 75% of the plants that provide our basic food.
“In the modern age, when the pace of life seems to accelerate, it is essential to stop to appreciate and protect the small but vital things that support the entire ecosystem of our planet. Today, we turn our attention to a topic of vital importance to our collective well-being – the essential role of pollinating insects, especially bees. (…) Without these insects, many of our agricultural crops would be in danger, and natural diversity would suffer severely”, write the representatives of the Environmental Protection Inspectorate, transmit Stiri.md
According to Inspectorate representatives, it is imperative to ensure that we respect and protect the habitat of these wonderful insects and apply sustainable agricultural practices.
“Environmental legislation obliges us all to act responsibly during the flowering period of plants that depend on insect pollination,” the Inspectorate’s statement reads.
They note that an important first step is to use selective plant protection treatments that are friendly to bees and other pollinating insects. By choosing such plant protection products, we not only protect our crops, but also contribute to maintaining the health and prosperity of bee colonies.
“In addition to our legal obligations, each of us can help protect bees and other pollinators by planting flowers that attract these insects in our gardens, by avoiding excessive pesticide use and by educating those around us about the importance of these small but essential creatures .
Let’s join our efforts to protect these wonderful insects, because our care for them is ultimately our care for ourselves and our future on this wonderful planet”, the statement of the Protection Inspectorate also states the environment.
