After working for Queen Elizabeth II for 20 years, Samantha Chen was appointed in 2017 to look after Meghan Markle. At the same time, Cohen was among the first employees of the Royal House to be interviewed in connection with the complaints directed against the Duchess of Sussex.

After six months of serving Meghan Markle, the Royal House employee concluded that the Duchess didn’t understand royal protocol, but she didn’t make any effort to understand it either. A year after Prince Harry and Meghan married, Cohen revealed that the Duchess of Sussex had an inappropriate attitude towards the servants of the Royal House.

“He had an intimidating behavior”

Samantha Cohen stated that Meghan treated her employees harshly, and the attitude displayed by Prince Harry’s wife was in no way appropriate for the state she held, but rather behaved like a teenager.

The Duke of Sussex’s communications secretary looked into the complaints made by royal employees. Three women accused Meghan of “treating them harshly and engaging in intimidating behaviour”.

Two employees of the Royal House have resigned because of Meghan Markle’s attitude. Knauf noted in its report that one employee had “an adverse reaction when meeting the Duchess of Sussex.” The employee was said to have been disturbed by the rude tone of the conversation.

How Meghan Markle defends herself

“I couldn’t stop shaking, meeting her was terrifying,” said one of the Royal Household staff. In the report prepared by Cohen, the case of Samantha Cohen is also mentioned. The latter stated that the relationship she had with Meghan Markle caused her major stress.

Confronted with these statements, the Dukes of Sussex vehemently denied the allegations. However, when the allegations became public, Meghan defended herself. At the time, Prince Harry’s wife described the allegations as another attack aimed at destroying her public image.
