Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones looked as loved up as ever as they indulged in golf in the celebrity town of Montecito.

Although there’s a 25-year age difference between them and they’ve gone through various personal crises over the years, the two are still one of Hollywood’s longest-running couples.

Catherine, 54, and Michael, 79, were pictured sharing gestures of affection upon arrival at the golf course. Afterwards, they smiled and enjoyed each successful shot. Even in her golf gear, Catherine looked chic in a black outfit and sunglasses. Meanwhile, her husband, son of the late Kirk Douglas, wore a striped polo shirt, navy jacket, khaki cargo pants and white sneakers.

Montecito is a special place for Catherine and Michael. Kirk had a family vacation home here called ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ (after a sculpture of Sholom Aleichem). Michael finally sold the house in 2022 for $6.8 million, two years after his father died at the age of 103.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta are the parents of two children – a 23-year-old son named Dylan and a 20-year-old daughter Carys.

The two actors married at the iconic Plaza Hotel on 5th Avenue in November 2000 and kept their sense of humor about their age difference.

“We joke about the day I’m 80 and she’ll come back and I’ll be like, ‘Where are we going, my dear?’ And she will say to me: ‘Cartier dear, Cartier. It’s your favorite store’”Michael declared in an interview.

Their marriage was not without its moments, however, particularly in the early 2010s when Michael battled throat cancer and Catherine was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The couple split for a few months in 2013, with Michael revealing that he and Catherine were “working things out”.

A few years later, Catherine stated: “I am blessed. I have a husband who listens to me, he is there for me, and I in turn am a wife who listens to her husband. That’s why – although every marriage has all kinds of ups and downs – we ended up in a place where it couldn’t be better for us”.

As for their children, Catherine told the Toda show that Dylan and Carys are “brilliant” and want to follow them into this world of acting.

“Michael and I would be the first to say, ‘You know, maybe you should think about another career,’ but we’ve seen how passionate they are about this job,” she said.

Catherine recently played the role of Morticia Addams in the series “Wednesday” and also a main character in “National Treasure”.
