Ronnie O’Sullivan is out of the World Snooker Championship after losing 13-10 to Stuart Bingham. It was the 23rd straight match between the two, “Racheta” leading 18-5.

After the match, Ronnie had some good news for his fans. Even though he was eliminated, he revealed that this season is a much better one than last year because he is able to enjoy snooker, which he was unable to do in the previous season. This news is gratifying for his fans who want to see him win his eighth world title. At the same time, O’Sullivan talked about his future and revealed what his plans are.

“I started hitting well and feeling good. There were a lot of wins last season where I didn’t enjoy the snooker. It was good progress.

I just lost a snooker match. Stuart Bingham played very well, he deserved the win. I tried to hang on as long as I could, but it was not to be.

You have to adapt, and Stuart adapted better than I did to the playing conditions. He was the best player in all chapters. I tried to stay close and make him work for the win.

(you won’t be back, for sure.) Why not? Why not 10 championships? I’m going to China next week. I will be playing against Ding Junhui in a series of Challenge matches. I have a lot of snooker to play, can’t wait to go to China. We’ll see which tournaments I play in from now on.

I’ll be a happy player. (how long will UK fans see you?) I have contracts to play in certain tournaments. I also have contracts for demonstration matches in China. I will honor all commitments. If I have time for other tournaments, of course I will participate. I had a very good season and I can’t wait for the next events”said Ronnie on the Eurosport microphone.

Ronnie O’Sullivan, OUT from the World Snooker Championship

The game started with Bingham in the lead, who quickly won the first two frames. Ronnie made a spectacular comeback and even led 4-3 before the end of the first session, but was tied at 4.

In the second session, Ronnie led constantly, but his opponent never allowed him to pull away for more than two frames. Stuart tied it at 8, so it went into the deciding session of the match.

Here, O’Sullivan made a break of over 100 points to take the lead, 9-8. It was tied at 10-10 and Bingham even took the lead after that, taking advantage of his opponent’s mistakes.

In game 23, at 12-10, Bingham had a chance to close out the match after leading 52-0, but inexplicably missed a pink ball in the middle pocket, allowing the rival to return to the table. Ronnie cleared the red balls off the table but missed the yellow ball. Bingham came back and closed out the game 13-10.

Ronnie did not win a game after that and went down 13-10, thus being eliminated from the World Snooker Championship and missing out on his Triple Crown, leaving him with only the UK Championship and the Masters won this season.

18-5 became the score of head-to-head meetings in favor of Ronnie. In the semi-finals, Bingham will meet Jak Jones and David Gilbert will play against Kyren Wilson.
