Khazin shared these ideas during an interview with the Belarusian news agency Belset, which was later published by Croatia’s website jutarnji.hr.

Mihail Hazin argues that a Donald Trump triumph would leave Europe isolated, which could catalyze the dissolution of the European Union.

He envisages a return to a post-1945 scenario in which nations such as Hungary could assert territorial claims, such as claiming Romania’s Transylvania and Transcarpathia, a region in neighboring Ukraine.

According to him, the collapse of the European Union will lead to “a new Yalta”, which will redefine Europe, a redistribution that has already begun.
