“Who defends Romania today? It has been two years since the war in Ukraine started – for two years I have been saying that we are in a world war – on 6 components. Unfortunately, not even the so-called “leaders” of Romania, unjustifiably, have yet discovered that we are at war.
In the last 20 years, Russia and China have started to feel good. When Russia and China feel good, it gets to their heads. They came up with a concept, over 10 years ago, of a “multipolar world”, that is, they say: “America and Western countries, get up from the table, let’s sit down. If you don’t get up, we’ll push you aside and put another table here.” These countries are trying to team up. And they made a good, strong team.
As never before in history, we have the prospect of a complete war, economic, military, cyber, ideological, axiological, demographic and cultural, between two blocs that did not exist. Russia tried again in the 70s, but it was too weak, it was falling – and this was seen in the 80s.
Who defends us? How do we defend ourselves? Romania must ask itself this question. We have a situation where the World Order we have lived in for the last 30 years is being proposed for demolition.
Romania is the target. We are dealing with the historical irrationality, we are dealing with a logic that does not seem logical to us, we are ashamed to admit that we are dealing with a pathological leadership, a citizen who has in his hand the nuclear button of the largest nuclear arsenal in the world , as Putin boasts, and of the most advanced weapons at the highest speed – and submarines, not just aerial ones.
So if we want to philosophize, we say that we meet the historical irrational: It was illogical for Putin to enter Ukraine. Entered. It was illogical to kill hundreds of thousands of Russians. He killed them. We don’t matter to Putin. I have passed into the pathological zone of history. Putin is interested in achieving the goals he has set for himself from an impaired health perspective. We are dealing with this man who can always say “I don’t like you Romanians, I want to exterminate you”.
America has a war every day, somewhere in the world. NATO was born so that there would be none. NATO won no war because NATO does not have to fight any”.
Who defends Romania?
“Romania is not preparing for defense at all, believing that there will be no war.
If you didn’t know who is defending Romania, you, me, we will have to defend it. We will try to survive. Some will die, some will not. Some of us will be cowards and escape, we will run, and others will be brave and maybe survive. We are obliged to think about how to defend Romania. As with the Revolution, in Romania there was no one to make the change and we, the civilians, had to step in.
If you have the power, you must exercise it. This year is an election year. You have to wake up every day with the responsibility of having a weapon with you – the right and the obligation to change Romania. We let some of our compatriots make a mess”.
Romania needs a strategy
“We need a Defense strategy, with clear executions, that provides for the entire Romanian people. Romania’s defense is based on a private Romanian economy, not a state one.
The little military industry that Romania had was destroyed. They know who they are, with many degrees and large pensions. Today, Romania has to defend itself, and the defense does not come from “let’s go and buy”, because we have nowhere to go. Nobody is selling. Military equipment is needed, from ammunition to the most advanced technologies, and they are not for sale.
Instead, we have people capable of making military strategies, economic strategies of strategic dual sectors, people to think and if they don’t know, learn, take from others, copy the Finnish, Swedish doctrine, if we don’t like ours.
The bitter Romanian people had a simple strategy – when they invaded, they retreated to the mountains, poisoned the wells. But he had a strategy.
It depends on our will to keep this country unoccupied. We can do that, but not through all the “strategic” public sectors that don’t exist. Romanians no longer trust parties. We don’t expect to get strategies from anyone. We will do them together.”
