Dmitri Peskov, the spokesman of the Russian leader Vladimir Putin, stated that the fate of the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky is “sealed” and that the Ukrainian army is in a state of total panic, after the latest successes of the Russian offensive.
“It seems to me that Zelensky’s fate is definitely sealed. And very soon a moment will come when many people, including in Ukraine, will question its legitimacy. In any case, even from a legal point of view, this will have to be done, and he will have to justify himself somehow. But for us, the main thing is that we have to continue the special military operation [razboiul impotriva Ucrainei – n.r.]to protect ourselves and fulfill the tasks that were initially established”.
The Kremlin spokesman stated that “panic is growing on the Ukrainian side on the front line”, claiming that he has “first-hand information”. “It is very important for us to keep up the pace and not stop,” he said, quoted by the daily Ukrainska Pravda.
Peskov also stated that the “other side”, which he described as the “collective West”, will test Russia “as a challenge”. “The main thing for us is not to let ourselves be drawn into this trap,” he added.
