A former CIA medium has told The Sun he has identified the area where the body of a two-year-old child was found in a mysterious disappearance that has shocked France.

Major Ed Dames, who was part of a secret military project that inspired the film The Men Who Stare At Goats (2009), said it took him two days to spot the site using “remote vision”.
Emile Soleil, a two-and-a-half-year-old boy, disappeared from the French Alpine village of Le Vernet last July.
Recently, his remains were discovered in a field that had already been searched, so locals are now wondering if they were put back there by his alleged killer.
Major Dames, 74, showed The Sun emails he sent police in December informing them that Emile’s body was “found in or near” a field which proved to be close to where the remains were found.
He said the case was brought to his attention by someone. “It took me two days. I immediately started working. I knew it was a serious case and that it was urgent.”
The major developed his paranormal detective skills as an operations and training officer with the joint CIA-US military paranormal intelligence unit. The program no longer exists.
A skull and bones were spotted by a hiker in Auches Ravine on Saturday.
The area is almost two kilometers from where the boy was last seen. Mayor François Balique said: “There are people who regularly walk on the nearby path. I went last week too. The volunteers who searched for him searched there, I’m sure. The gendarmes couldn’t miss him with the tracking dogs.”

“There was even logging there in the fall. The woodcutters didn’t see anything either. It’s inexplicable,” he added.
“The little one died, and someone went to hide him there much later,” is the opinion of Gilles Thézan, a resident of the village.
“Now that we’ve found little Emile, the police will be able to speed up the investigation,” he said.
“Village of the Damned”
The child had been left by his parents in the care of his grandfather, Philippe Vedovini, aged 58. A witness reported seeing Vedovini cutting wood outside the house at the time Emile is believed to have walked away.
This grandfather gave up his monkhood to get married. Earlier this month, it emerged that he had been questioned in 2018 in a criminal investigation into child abuse at the school where he worked.
He allegedly admitted to applying a “somewhat harsh” physical correction, but insisted he had never broken the law.
He and his wife raised ten children, including Emile’s mother, Marie. She and her husband, Colomban Soleil, have also been investigated by police over their far-right political past.
In 2015, Vernet was the scene of 150 deaths when a co-pilot who had been treated for suicidal tendencies crashed an Airbus A320.
In 2008, the owner of a cafe was killed by a customer. “Everyone says it – you get the feeling that Vernet is a village of the damned”one resident said.
On July 8, 2023, Emile Soleil disappears from his grandparents’ house located in a hamlet near Le Vernet in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
Between July 8 and 14, 2023, a huge search with police forces takes place but does not yield any results.
On July 14, 2023, the police abandon the search.
On March 30, 2024, a woman finds bones near the village where Emile disappeared from.
On March 31, 2024, investigators confirm that the remains belong to the missing two-year-old and the investigation resumes.
