Three weak earthquakes were recorded today, on the third day of Easter, in Romania.
The first, with a magnitude of 2.8 Richter degrees, occurred in the Vrancea seismic zone, Prahova county. According to information provided by the National Institute for Earth Physics, the tectonic movement occurred at 06:41 and had a depth of 117.5km.
The earthquake occurred in the vicinity of some important cities in the region, only 40 kilometers south of Brașov, 49 kilometers north of Ploiesti, 54 kilometers south of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 66 kilometers northeast of Târgoviște, 72 kilometers west from Buzau.
Fortunately, this earthquake had a small magnitude and did not cause material damage.
The second earthquake occurred about two hours later. It happened at 08:31:33, in Maramureș.

It occurred at a depth of 3.4km, near the following cities: 54 kilometers north of Bistrita and 55 kilometers east of Baia Mare.
It was followed by a weak earthquake with a magnitude of ml 2.0, produced at 10:41.
The earthquake in the Vrancea seismic zone occurred at a depth of 22.3 km, near the following cities: just 8 kilometers northeast of Focșani, 62 kilometers southwest of Bârlad, 67 kilometers northwest of Galați, 73 kilometers northeast of Buzău, 75 kilometers northwest of Brăila, 97 kilometers south of Bacău.
