Fatal accident in Mehedinti! A man was hit by two cars while crossing the street

According to the information, the accident would have occurred when the man would have crossed the street in a run, without securing himself. He was initially hit by a car traveling towards Drobeta Turnu Severin, and then he was hit by a second vehicle, which was heading towards Craiova.

Following the accident, medical staff arrived at the scene. They did everything they could to save the victim’s life, but unfortunately, despite the resuscitation maneuvers, nothing could be done for him to survive. The doctor on the ambulance pronounced the victim dead.

The man hit by the cars had no documents on him, so the police could not establish his identity. They later found out that the victim worked during the day in Tâmna commune.

Both drivers who hit the man crossing the street irregularly were tested with the breathalyzer, but the results were negative in both cases, writes antena3.ro.

A tragic traffic accident happened the other day, in Galati. A 41-year-old man, a police officer, died after being hit by a car. A 35-year-old woman, who was a passenger on the two-wheeler, was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Following the investigations at the scene of the accident, the police established that “a car, driven by a young man, aged 25, from the municipality of Galați, while traveling on the mentioned street on the 1st traffic lane, with the direction of travel from Portului street towards Cloșca boulevard, after passing Viva Park and arriving in front of a church, he made a U-turn, at which point he collided with a motorcycle that was moving in the same direction on lane 2 and was being driven by a man, 41 years old, from the municipality of Galați”.
