A 52-year-old man lost his life after the car he was in, driven by a 50-year-old woman, left the roadway and hit a bridgehead. The accident took place in the town of Sadova Veche, on DN6.
According to the police officers who carried out the investigation on the spot, while a 50-year-old woman from Caransebeș was driving a car from the direction of Băile Herculane to Caransebeș, in the town of Sadova Veche, at km 432, she left the road on the right side of the road walked, hitting a bridgehead and rolling into the ditch on the side of the road. There were two adults (a man and a woman) and a minor girl in the car.
“Following the impact, the man, who was in the driver’s right seat, remained imprisoned, and the woman and the little girl managed to escape. The 52-year-old man was extracted by the extrication crew, unconscious, without vital signs, which is why resuscitation maneuvers were immediately started by the SMURD crew. The woman and the girl were taken for medical evaluation by ambulances and transported to the hospital for further investigation. Unfortunately, despite all the efforts made, the man’s vital signs did not return, the crew declaring his death”said the spokesperson of the “Semenic” Emergency Situations Inspectorate, Iulia Rusan.
The driver of the car was tested with the breathalyzer, the result was 0. The police are continuing the investigations in this case in order to accurately establish all the circumstances and circumstances in which the event occurred.
“Driving fatigue is one of the common causes of road accidents. To prevent such situations, we recommend that at the first signs of fatigue, you stop driving, park the vehicle in a safe place and rest until you fully recover the psycho-physical abilities necessary for safe driving. Before leaving for the road, rest for at least eight hours. Take a break every two hours of driving or every 100 miles. Travel with a partner who will notice if you show signs of fatigue or, if necessary, take over the driver’s seat”convey the representatives of the Caraş-Severin County Police Inspectorate.
