List of AUR candidates for the 2024 European Parliament elections

The representatives of AUR (Alliance for the Union of Romanians) have established the list of candidates for the 2024 European Parliament elections. In 2024, Romanians have four rounds of elections, local elections, European Parliament elections, parliamentary elections and presidential elections, and the ball is opened by the local elections and the elections European Parliament, both scheduled for June 9, 2024.

In the 2024 European Parliament elections, AUR is going with a list of 43 candidates, in the hope that they will get as many MEP mandates as possible. AUR representatives rely on the idea of ​​nationalism and announce that they are willing to do everything to truly represent Romania’s interests at the European Parliament.

As the Alliance for the Union of Romanians is a political formation established only in the fall of 2019, the AUR did not participate in the previous European parliamentary elections. Even so, the specialists believe that those from AUR can represent this year’s surprise and can obtain an important number of votes.

List of AUR candidates for the 2024 European Parliament elections

As I said, those from AUR approach the 2024 European parliamentary elections in full form, with a list of 43 candidates. The most important positions on the AUR list are occupied by Cristian Terheş, Claudiu Târziu and Gheorghe Piperea. The first woman on the AUR list can only be found at the 4th position on the list, Maria Georgiana Teodorescu.

Cristian Terheş and Claudiu Târziu open the list of AUR candidates for the 2024 European Parliament elections

The most important positions on the list of AUR candidates for the 2024 European Parliament elections are occupied by politicians such as Cristian Terheş and Claudiu Târziu.

Cristian Terheş (45 years old) was also elected MEP in the 2019 elections, when he ran for the Social Democratic Party. Later, he moved to the National Christian Democratic Peasant Party, before joining the AUR in October 2022. Claudiu Târziu (51 years old) was practically a founding member of the AUR and co-president of this political formation, alongside George Simon. He later became a senator of Romania in 2020.

AUR (Alliance for the Union of Romanians) is a relatively newly established political formation, in the fall of 2019. Even so, AUR managed to quickly attract a lot of people to its side, for this reason specialists consider that this political formation can be the revelation of the elections from 2024.

AUR is currently led by George Simion, one of the co-founders of the alliance. Along with him, Claudiu Târziu, Sorin Lavric, Marius Lulea and Titus Păunescu are part of the management team of AUR.
