A crane collapsed on top of a car parked near a gas station in Bucharest. From the first information, there was no one in the car.
A crane arm broke during a maneuver. It fell and crushed a car parked in a gas station next to the construction site, according to Digi24.
Everything happened on Giurgiului Road in the Capital, where the machine was performing work in the area, on some pipes.
The mobile crane, while picking up a garbage container, fell over a parked car. Fortunately, no one was inside.
The driver of the truck had a panic attack and needed medical attention. He was taken by a SMURD crew to the hospital.
Firefighters secured the area where the incident took place, and the gas station’s activity was interrupted for 7 hours.
The firefighters tried to remove the crane and then, those who were doing work, to see how the incident was possible, being very close to the gas pumps.
The workers acted on the spot and managed to bring the crane cabin back to its original position, also lifting the container that had fallen with its arm.
The exact circumstances in which the entire incident took place will be established following investigations.
