At least 14 people died and another 31 were injured in a road accident in Mexico, the authorities announce, reports AFP.
The accident took place in the state of Mexico, on the outskirts of the capital, where a bus overturned on the road, the secretariat of the local Security announced on Sunday.
“According to some preliminary data, it is about 14 dead and 31 injured”, according to this source.
Road accidents are increasing in Mexico starting from 2020.
In total, 377,231 accidents were registered in 2022, according to the Mexican National Institute of Statistics (INEGI).
On February 24, ten people died in a traffic accident in the state of San Luis Potosi (north-central), including four minors.
A truck hit pedestrian migrants on Saturday, killing three, in the state of Oaxaca (south), according to local media.
The driver fled the scene.
