The story begins in Buzău, where manager Mircea Voinea had a brilliant idea.
In Buzău is the first and largest factory in the country that produces the full range of organic fertilizers and 100% bio treatments.
The story that began with the production of biohumus, with the help of frames, was presented by Mircea Voinea on the show “Agricool”.
“Guilty for obtaining this valuable and organic fertilizer are these Red California earthworms. (…) An earthworm can travel 50 meters in one night. Thanks to them, we have aerated soils,” he said at “Agricool”.
The biohumus obtained with the help of frames was the first product the company put on the market. Because a very productive earthworm species was needed, Red California specimens were chosen for the farm in Buzău.
Mircea Voinea, BioHumusSol manager, says that without earthworms soil fertility is poor.
Garlic from Buzău grown with such organic solutions is much better developed than one grown normally.
According to a European directive, Romania must reduce the consumption of pesticides and chemical fertilizers by 50% by 2030. The company from Buzău can offer, free of charge, product samples to be tried.
The farm in Buzău is spread over an area of nine hectares, on the site of a former ballast station.
The biohumus produced here helps decompose plant residues on agricultural land 600 times faster than under natural conditions.
