On April 26, 2024, around 2:30 p.m., the police officers of the Prahova Road Service were alerted by calling 112 regarding the fact that a road accident occurred on DN1, at Puchenii Mari. After the checks carried out, it was established that the impact occurred between a car driven by a 43-year-old woman, who was driving on DC 127 from the Odăi direction to DN1, and a car driven by a 57-year-old man who was driving a car on National Road 1, from the direction of Bucharest to Ploiești.
As a result of the collision, a 56-year-old woman, a passenger in the second car, was injured. She also had 5 puppies in the car and although injured, she did not want to leave their side. In the end, she was convinced to go to the hospital, and the animals were taken over by the firefighters and temporarily taken to the headquarters of the 2nd Ploiești Detachment.
The two drivers were tested with the breathalyzer device, the results being negative. Traffic is partially restricted on lane no. 1 of the direction of travel from Bucharest to Ploiești.
The police are continuing their investigations in order to establish all the circumstances in which the road event took place.
