Instead, the US dollar lost ground in relation to the Romanian leu, although on the first day of the week it scored an increase. On Tuesday, April 22, the US dollar depreciated. We are talking about a decrease of 0.0013 units, being quoted at 4.6699 lei.

A downward trend was also followed by the Swiss franc, being the second drop recorded this week. At the last quotation meeting, it lost 0.0049 units, reaching 5.1198 lei.
Instead, the pound sterling appreciated, according to the data provided by the National Bank. On Tuesday, April 23, the official currency of the United Kingdom added 0.0021 units. Currently, its value is 5,7698 lei.
What is happening to the price of the gram of gold
The price of a gram of gold punctuated a new drop, after it also got cheaper on Monday. We note that on Tuesday, April 23, gold recorded one of its biggest declines in recent memory, although it looked like the price of the precious metal was going to explode again.
Thus, on Tuesday, the price of a gram of gold decreased by almost 10 lei, from 354.4765 lei, the value recorded on the first day of the week, to 344.5697 lei. It remains to be seen whether the middle of the week will bring further cheapening in the cost of the yellow metal.
