The former AUR Nehoiu members took this decision, because they were dissatisfied with the fact that the organization was not represented on the list of county councilors for the June 9 elections, as promised.

“Following the meeting of the Local Political Bureau, I decided to leave the AUR party together with the team. After 3 years of work, sustained political activity, hundreds of members registered in the organization and nothing to reproach our team with, the management of the county organization of AUR Buzău has turned its back on us. From any point of view, especially meritocratic, our organization deserved at least two eligible places on the list of candidates for the County Council. The places were initially promised by the county management of AUR Buzău, but in the end, on the list of candidates for the County Council, the Nehoiu organization did not have a single representative”, says Anton Băcescu, coordinator of AUR Nehoiu.

Given that AUR did not take him into account, Anton Băcescu and his team decided to switch to PNL Buzău. Along with this movement, Băcescu was designated as the candidate of the PNL for the position of mayor of the city of Nehoiu.

“I am glad that Mr. Anton Băcescu and his more than 400 colleagues have chosen to join PNL Buzău and I hope that their arrival among the liberals of Buzău will bring a new breath to the organization from Valea Buzăului, which now has all the assets for to win the City Hall of Nehoiu. We welcome them all and assure them of the full support of the county organization of PNL Buzău. We are committed to working together to make Nehoiu a better place for all the residents of the area,” said Adrian Mocanu, president of PNL Buzău.
