A terrible accident occurred on Tuesday evening, on the A1 highway, on the Bucharest-Pitesti direction. A 38-year-old man, from Argeș county, ended up in a terrible way. The car he was driving ended up in the metal slide between the travel directions.

The shocking scenes took place at kilometer 82, in the area of Rătești, in Argeş. The driver was found incarcerated. The images from the scene are terrible, considering that the victim’s body was pierced by the slide.
From the first investigations, the 38-year-old man, who was alone in the car, allegedly lost control of the steering wheel. Most likely, the speed and the wet road caused the man to drive into the parapet that separates the lanes.
Following the impact, the slide penetrated the hood of the car and exited directly through the trunk. Unfortunately, the driver was shot, being found incarcerated and in cardio-respiratory arrest. Medical and police crews arrived in that area.

Representatives of ISU Argeș and a special vehicle from ISU Dâmbovița intervened. In vain, the doctors on the ambulance tried to save the man, he was eventually declared dead.
“The crews that arrived at the scene of the intervention found that there was an incarcerated person inside the car”transmitted, on Tuesday, the Argeș Emergency Situations Inspectorate.
“The firemen carried out maneuvers to free the victim for whom, unfortunately, despite their efforts, they could not do anything”added the representatives of ISU Argeș.

It remains for the investigation to find out exactly the circumstances under which the tragedy took place. The law enforcement officers have drawn up a criminal case. At the same time, the Infotraffic Center announced that traffic was stopped for about an hour, on the second lane, following the accident.
