As a result of a good collaboration between the Romanian and German police, he was caught in Germany. And a short time ago he was picked up by an escort from the ANP to be taken to the Rahova Penitentiary. All fugitives should remember: no one is above the law”, Gorghiu says.
“After 33 years of searching, a dangerous fugitive was brought to the country today! Kumarasamy Navaneethan is a Sri Lankan national who is on the most wanted criminal list. He was sentenced to 19 years in prison for committing a murder in 1991, in Bucharest. He managed to flee the country and hide for many years”, wrote Alina Gorghiu on Facebook.
