Tragedy on the A1 Bucharest – Pitesti highway, Tuesday evening! The driver of a BMW, aged 38, met his end after he stopped his car between the dividing walls between the lanes. The terrible accident happened at kilometer 82, on the radius of Rătești (Argeș), on the way from Pitesti to the Capital.

“From the preliminary checks, carried out by the police officers of the A1 Bucharest-Râmnicu Vâlcea Highway Police Bureau, it was established that a car, with the direction of travel towards Pitesti, driven by a 38-year-old man, from Argeș county, in circumstances to be established from research, he lost control over the direction of travel and collided with the metal slide.

The impact resulted in the death of the driver, who was the only occupant.

In order to ensure the legal framework necessary for the checks, a criminal file was drawn up in the case according to art. 192 of the Criminal Code, and the investigations continue, to establish all the circumstances in which the road event took place”, it is stated in a press release from IPJ Argeș.
