A driver died on Tuesday evening after the car he was driving entered the metal slide between the directions of the A1 highway. The metal bar pierced the car from end to end.
The accident took place at km 82, in Argeş county.
“From the preliminary checks carried out by the police officers of the A1 Bucharest-Râmnicu Vâlcea Highway Police Bureau, it was established that a car, with the direction of travel towards Pitesti, driven by a 38-year-old man, from Argeş County, in circumstances to be determined from investigations, he lost control over the direction of travel and collided with the metal slide”, reported IPJ Argeş.
The driver, who was alone in the car, died on the spot.
The police have opened a criminal case, and investigations continue to establish all the circumstances in which the road event took place.
