Zorlescu(AUR): Drinking water supply in Bengesti-Ciocadia remains only an electoral promise

Adrian Zorlescu, the AUR candidate for the presidency of the County Council, believes that it is “useless and ineffective” to extend by just one month the period for submitting projects for SMEs to the Just Transition Fund.

The Ministry of European Investments and Projects (MIPE), through the Management Authority for the Just Transition Program, has extended, until April 20, 2024, the period for submitting projects for the “Development of enterprises and entrepreneurship” action – the “Investments for the development of SMEs” component which supports sustainable growth and job creation”, the Gorj County Council announced on Tuesday.

“From my point of view, the extension of the Just Transition Fund, by only one month, cannot bring new, significant projects. This decision only confirms the lack of an effective information campaign for entrepreneurs and the excessive complexity of the required documentation! Given that obtaining the environmental approval takes around a month, designers and consultants no longer have enough time to submit the documentation. I thus wonder why at least two months were not given to allow access to new projects, if the intention was real? Why is it necessary to obtain the final approval for the environment, given that the projects must already comply with DNSH principles and the program has been evaluated by commissions, including the environmental one? The initial hiring decisions would not have been enough”, says Zorlescu in a press release of the political formation.

The extension seems to be, in the opinion of the AUR representative, the result of either the thick and cumbersome documentation, or the lack of preparation of those who had to think about this program.

“Why was there no effective promotion and adequate information about FTJ for entrepreneurs, given the worrying level of the numbers? This extension is only a proof of incompetence or carelessness on the part of those who managed this program”, says Zorlescu.
