Official announcement today, April 2, for those who receive their pension by post

--

Daniel Baciu, the president of the National Pension House, sent a message to the Romanians who did not receive their money due to the Romanian Post strike, but also to the company’s employees.

There are no problems regarding the payment of pensions, says Daniel Baciu

Daniel Baciu said on Tuesday, April 2, that there are no problems regarding the payment of these pensions.

“At the moment, I don’t have a statistic on how many pensions have been delayed in the territory. Believe me, I also called in the territory, in the counties where I called, there are no problems with the payment of these pensions.

We are in the process of paying these pensions. The delivery term, according to the agreement we have concluded with the Romanian National Post Company, is the 1st-15th of each month.

We are in this range at the moment and are in the process of paying these pensions. We don’t have a statistic. I told you, I called and exactly where I called, there were no problems in paying these pensions”, he declared on CNN’s Antena 3.

According to Romanian Post representatives, there are closed post offices in four counties: in Maramureș, Bistrita-Năsăud, Ialomița and Arad.

In these locations, the postmen did not deliver the pensions either yesterday or today, in the various post offices, not in all of them.

“If there are such situations, those from the Romanian Post National Company should mobilize, so that in this interval of 1-15 they manage to pay absolutely all the pensions, to recover these delays, so that the pensioners do not suffer even for a day delay”, said Daniel Baciu.

General strike at the Romanian Post Office

The postmen participating in the strike apologized to the more than 2 million Romanians who may not receive their pension on time due to the general strike.

To distribute the pensions, postmen were brought from Bucharest to various regions of the country. However, they are not authorized to enter post offices.

The trade unionists express dissatisfaction with the net salary of 2,100 lei and request an increase of 400 lei, as well as higher increases.

According to Antena 3 CNN sources, the Government is willing to offer a salary increase of 390 lei, but in two installments.

Romanian Post employees have already stopped their work and complain that they feel pressure from the management.

“I had a discussion with the director of the Romanian Post last night. I said that the problem should be solved as quickly as possible. If the pensions do not reach their destination, due to a strike at the Romanian Post Office, I think the director will leave”, said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

The Romanian Post employees’ strike continues

The National Trade Union Bloc (BNS) declared that the Romanian Post employees’ strike will continue on Tuesday, at the national level. This decision comes in the context in which the company’s management has initiated two cases in court: one to suspend the strike and one to establish its illegality.

Union representatives say they will be present in court on Wednesday to present their defense.

The employees of the National Company “Poșta Română” started the strike starting Monday, at 00:00, demanding a 400 lei increase in salaries, as well as an increase in the loyalty bonus.

According to the NBS statements, more than 7,000 members from 32 counties in the country are involved in the strike.
