The President of AUR, George Simion, announced that the Alliance for the Union of Romanians will have candidates for all the councils, for the presidencies of the County Councils and for the town halls of the county seat municipalities, and that they will present these candidates on Sunday, in a special event. The AUR leader also presented the AUR posters at the European Parliament, which include images of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, showing that they will use her as a “mascot”.

“Despite what one or the other will want, the AUR will have candidates for all the councils, for the presidencies of the CJ and for the town halls of the county seat municipalities. We will present these candidates on Sunday, in a special event, 41 candidates for the presidents of the CJ and 41 for the mayors of the county municipalities. Let’s not expect each other to get rid of us, even if these elections don’t have to take place on June 9, but on September 29, as is legal, constitutional”, the AUR leader announced in a press conference.

“4 months what will the subjects of Klaus Iohannis do? They will have an elected mayor and a current mayor”, asked Simion.

The President of AUR showed that “the coup by the current coalition is in full swing”.

“Earlier, the merger ordinance should have been put on the agenda of the Senate, after it was postponed for two weeks to have time to think, even today it was not put on the agenda of the Senate and on April 6 it passes silently. Obviously, this ordinance is unconstitutional and the current coalition avoids the constitutionality test, the constitutionality check. What the People’s Advocate did, what the CCR is doing, which was notified through an extraordinary way by us, is not admissible. As long as everyone sees that the emperor is empty, what do we do? Are we building him a protocol villa?” said AUR leader George Simion in the conference.

The President of the AUR specified that, as they announced, “they will use any means, no matter how extreme but democratic, to stop this coup d’état and this attack on the Constitution and the rule of law in Romania”.

“On June 9, constitutional, legal, there are only European parliamentary elections, and for fear of AUR, the current coalition and the Klaus Werner Iohannis regime called for this coup”, said Simion. He presented the AUR posters from the campaign for the European Parliament elections.

“She is a famous character, you know her from cartoons, she is Ursula. We will use her as a mascot. Unfortunately, PSD and PNL support her in the presidency of the Commission and support this octopus, they support corruption at the European level. This is the degree of obedience. Unfortunately, the country is worshiped by others”, said George Simion. “We are receiving signals, since theoretically a special Schengen was invented for us, in which we no longer go through the control with the bulletin or passport, in several European countries this does not happen, in France, in Finland, in Italy, citizens Romanians signaled to us that they were asked for an identity document upon entering the country”, the AUR leader also said.

“We will fight, no matter what, with Ursula, with Klaus Iohannis and your subjects from the colony called Romania,” Simion said. He recalled that the AUR list in the European parliamentary elections will be led by Cristian Terheş, Claudiu Tîrziu and Gheorghe Piperea, specifying that “the PSD-PNL list includes Virgil Popescu”.
