A man who argued with his father and then drove away with the intention of committing suicide caused a terrible accident on a road in Timiș county, as a result of which a person fell from a car that overturned, being seriously injured. The young man is now being investigated for attempted murder.
The prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Timiș Court ordered the prosecution of a man for attempted murder.
According to the prosecutors, on January 24, at around 3:00 p.m., amid conflicting discussions with the father and with the declared intention to commit suicide, the defendant, while driving the car at excessive speed and in violation of the legal rules regarding overtaking other vehicles on DN6, near Lugoj, from the direction of Caransebeș towards Timișoara, at the entrance to the roundabout on the A6 highway (where the speed is limited to 30 km/h and the directions are separated by a continuous double line), he hit with the side of behind another car, which was moving in the same direction and in which there were other people.
As a result of the impact between the two cars, the car in which the injured persons were was projected over the square of the roundabout, rolled in the air, and one of the injured persons fell from the car.
Later, the car, falling, hit the dividing metal guardrail located on the side of the road and then stopped in a concrete water collection channel towards the fuel distribution station, outside the carriageway of the roundabout.
As a result of the accident, the injured persons in the car that was driving normally suffered bodily injuries that required for healing a number of 40 days of medical care, 30 days of medical care, respectively 110 days of medical care, in the case of the victim who fell from the car. Her life was put in danger, prosecutors say.
The file was sent for resolution to the Timiș Court.
