A CURS poll carried out at national level, between March 19-28, indicates that the PNL + PSD electoral alliance will win most of the MEP mandates, while the opposition fails to get closer to the ruling parties, the big surprise being that the preference for AUR has fallen significantly over the past two months.
The scores of the parties in the European parliamentary elections, according to the CURS survey, are:
- PSD + PNL alliance – 53%
- United Right Alliance (USR+PMP+FD) – 14%
- GOLD – 14%
- SOS Romania – 5%
- UDMR – 5%
- PUSL – 4%
- Other (under 2% each) – 5%
The previous CURS poll carried out at national level, between January 15-27, indicates that if the European Parliament elections were held next Sunday, PSD would have won the election with 30%, and the governing liberals (19%) would have been ahead by the AUR party (21%).
Thus, AUR decreased in two months from 21% to 14%, after PSD and PNL chose to run on joint lists, one of their stated goals being to limit the mandates won by “populist” political forces.
SOS Romania, Diana Șoșoacă’s party, maintains its share in the polls. Likewise, the United Right Alliance fails to increase its vote intention.
COURS survey methodology:

Maximum margin of error across the entire sample: +/-3% at a 95% confidence level
Data collection method: face-to-face, at respondents’ homes
Sample validation: based on the latest INS data
Data are weighted by age.
