Arkansas baseball vs. LSU: Live score updates

Game 1

Second Inning

  • Javen Coleman works a clean inning and we are still scoreless, heading to the top of the third.
  • It’s another 1-2-3 inning for Smith, who now had four strikeouts. His fastball is living in the upper 90s, and the slider has been unhittable.

First Inning

  • Arkansas grounds into an inning-ending double play in the bottom of the first after getting runners on the corners with one out. Kendall Diggs was in the on-deck circle after getting pushed down the order today. Tough start to the series for Sprague-Lott.
  • Hagen Smith sets LSU down 1-2-3 in the top of the first with a pair of strikeouts. He only needed 12 pitches, and the Hogs are coming to bat against Javen Coleman.

Pregame

  • The starting lineups for LSU and Arkansas are below. Jack Wagner and Will Edmunson keep their places in the lineup after strong games on Tuesday. Javen Coleman will get the ball for LSU with the Tigers saving Luke Holman for Friday night to keep him on normal rest. In no surprise, Hagen Smith is on the bump for the Hogs tonight.
  • Good evening from Baum-Walker Stadium. First pitch between No. 7 LSU and No. 1 Arkansas is set for 6 pm, and this live blog will run all weekend, so stay tuned throughout the series for live updates.
