She is 39 years old and can easily rival the female stars of Hollywood. The beautiful brunette, whose full name is Ameera bint Aidan bin Nayef Al-Taweel Al-Otaibi, is a former holder of the title of princess, and is now considered one of the most beautiful women in the East.

Ameera, activist and former Saudi princess

Born in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, in a family with noble origins, the beautiful Ameera became known thanks to her beauty, her marriage to Prince Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud, the grandson of the former Saudi King Abdulaziz, and her fight for human rights Arab women. Beautiful, educated and with western views, therefore, an irresistible combination that makes Ameera more than just a beautiful woman.

At the age of 18, Ameera, a student with excellent grades, was admitted to the University of New Haven in the United States to major in business administration. Passionate about journalism, the young student from Saudi Arabia started working for the school newspaper and was asked to interview Prince Al Waleed, a man 28 years her senior but a successful businessman with an income of the order of billions.

But the young Saudi was not so eager to marry a member of the royal family, being more concerned with continuing her studies in the United States, which was supported by her prince and fiancé, who was willing to wait for her to fulfill her dream. Seven years later, 53-year-old Prince Al Waleed was officially marrying 25-year-old Ameera, the latter becoming his third wife (his favorite).

But the beautiful Saudi was not satisfied with the title of princess and trophy wife. She had a mission: to change the status of women in the Muslim world. She and her husband founded the Al Waleed Foundation, an international non-profit organization dedicated to poverty alleviation, disaster relief and women’s rights.

On behalf of the foundation, she visited more than 71 countries and held diplomatic talks with many political figures.

“In a country like mine, women cannot drive or travel alone. They need their husbands’ permission to have a job. Even women with exemplary education do not benefit from such a right”said the Saudi princess.

In addition, Ameera did not want to wear the Islamic veil, nor the full-covering garment: on the contrary, she showed her face every time she appeared in public. Obviously, the conservative members of the royal family in Saudi Arabia did not take kindly to the actions of the princess, and even warned her that she would be punished if she did not wear the Islamic veil.

Finally, under these pressures, Prince Al Waleed chose to divorce Ameera: in 2013, the two separated peacefully, and the Saudi lost her royal title. Even so, Ameera has not given up publicly campaigning for the cause of the underprivileged, Muslim women in particular.

Even divorced, such a beautiful and articulate woman has no shortage of suitors, and since 2018, the former princess is married to the United Arab Emirates billionaire Khalifa Bin Butti Al Muhairi, to whom she also gave a son a year later.

The story of the beautiful princess of Saudi Arabia is always worth telling because thanks to her efforts, in June 2018, women in the Saudi kingdom were finally given the right to legally drive a vehicle. A voice that, therefore, did not remain without an echo…
