Motorola edge 50 Fusion it is a very interesting alternative to the Pro model in the same lineup, keeping most of the features and arriving with the advantage of a more generous battery. We are talking about a 5000 mAh unit with 68W power per wire, that is from 0 to 50% in 15 minutes as indicated by Motorola. The Pro variant charges at 125W wired and 50W wireless, but has 4500 mAh.

How did the edge 50 Fusion perform in our tests? Admirable I would say, and we still have evidence, starting with the test of video playback where we got to 24h 20m, a 15th place in our all-time ranking, surpassing even the Edge 40 Pro (24h 8m). In comparison, the Edge 50 Pro stopped at 18 hours, so you’ll gain over 6 more hours of streaming time if you choose a Fusion. It’s not bad at all!

Test made using PCMark for Android. It measures the maximum duration of an uninterrupted session of phone use, under conditions that replicate human behavior. The brightness of the screen is set to 200 LUX, and the phone performs web browsing, plays video, copies files and edits photos.

With continuous use, things change, with only 11h 54m recorded in the dedicated PC Mark test, where the Pro brother delivered a little more, 12h 17m. In the ranking we take the 208th place, and the efficiency of the processor speaks for itself here, as it is a mid-range. Above we have many models with better results, including the rival Galaxy A35 which reached almost 14 hours.

Battery charging time up to 100%

How are we doing with charging you ask? Binișor, needing 1h 11m for a complete supply from 0-100%. That’s exactly how long it takes to charge a Galaxy S24 (power supply at 25W), but a mention must be made here, that I did not receive the original adapter nor the cable, being offered only the phone without anything else in the box for tests. Possibly a cable compatibility issue, the adapter being used is a Baseus 100W GaN.
