CODE YELLOW for storms: Meteorologists have issued a storm warning, valid for Alba county and the entire western half of the country.

After a period of tropical air above Romania, which brought several days of downright hot weather, storms are coming, ANM representatives announce.

Wind and gales are expected to increase Monday night (April 1) from 8:00 PM to Tuesday morning (April 2) at 8:00 AM.

In the mentioned interval, the wind will gradually intensify in Banat, Crișana, Oltenia, the western half of Transylvania and in Maramureș.

CODE YELLOW for gales: Speeds of 55-65 kilometers per hour will be recorded and in limited areas 70 kilometers per hour, and in the second part of the night it will look like a gale.

In the Western Carpathians and Southern Carpathians, at high altitudes, gusts will exceed 100-110 kilometers per hour.

In the high mountain area, generally at altitudes above 1600 meters, mixed precipitation will be reported, and in the Apuseni Mountains and in the north of the Eastern Carpathians, amounts of water of 10-20 liters per square meter will accumulate.
