Marquardt opens a research and development office in Palas Iasi

Marquardt Romania, a member of the Marquardt Group, a German company producing high-end mechatronics, will open its first office in the north-east of the country in the United Business Center 3 building in the Palas Iasi complex.

Marquardt products include control panels, shift by wire gear shifters, vehicle access systems, driver authorization and intelligent battery management systems for electric vehicles. The group also produces switching systems used in household appliances, industrial applications and high-power machine tools. The Marquardt Romania branch was established in 2005, in Sibiu, where it employs 2,400 people.

“An important component of the growth of the R&D Center is its expansion in the North-East Region, where our strategy provided for the opening of office spaces in Iași. Here we already have a first core of employees who work full-time online, specialists in Software Development, and we are going to develop the component in Iași, hiring more than 50 experts in embedded programming”, states the general manager of Marquardt Romania, Mourad Halilou.

The company hires in Iași and the neighboring region a large number of software development experts in the Embedded C language, who will work in a hybrid system and will have the offices of UBC 3 in a co-working space system at their disposal.

The national network of United Business Center premium offices, developed by the Iulius group, includes 14 class A office buildings, with a total area of ​​over 182,000 sqm, located in the urban regeneration projects in Iași (7 buildings – 75,600 sqm), Timișoara (4 buildings – 80,000 sqm) and Cluj-Napoca (3 buildings – 26,200 sqm).

The newest project of the Iulius Group is Palas Campus, the largest class A office building in the country, with a leasable area of ​​over 60,000 sqm, which will be inaugurated early next year and which is already fully leased.
