The tender was launched for the design and execution of the M4 metro line, the Nord Station – Progresul Station section. The project is published in the Public Procurement Electronic System (SICAP). The deadline for submitting offers is June 27.
After the award and signing of the contract, the builders will have 5 years for the actual construction.
The route of the new M4 metro line will have 14 stations, which will be laid out over a length of 12 kilometers. The line will cross the territory of sectors 1, 4 and 5, as well as the commune of Jilava in Ilfov county. The 14 stations of the new route are: Northern Station 2 – Ştirbei Vodă – Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu – Uranus – George Rozorea – Chirigiu – Filaret – Heroes of the Revolution 2 – George Bacovia – Toporaşi – Nicolae Cajal – Luică – Giurgiului – Progresul Station.
The Ministry of Transport, Metrorex, the Town Halls of sectors 4 and 5 and the Ilfov County Council will take care of this highway. In order to achieve this objective, the District 4 City Hall has already submitted the request for financing in the total amount of 2.5 billion euros, non-refundable European money, which will be accessed through the “Transport Program” of the European Union 2021-2027.
