The footballers from FC Bihor achieved another goal on Saturday, in the current season of the Third League. Through the victory in Timișoara, in front of the rival Politehnica, with a score of 1-0, the players from Bihor mathematically secured first place in the 8th series.
Held at the Electrica stadium, the derby between Politehnica and FC Bihor ended with a score of 1-0 for the Oradeans, who dominated the first half and scored through Florin Chitași in the 35th minute.
With this success, FC Bihor is 12 points away from the top of the ranking, and cannot be reached by Politehnica Timișoara, occupying the second position.
The home team had only one opportunity in the first half, in the extra minute when Olariu sent in the crossbar. In the second half, the Timișoara team tried to equalize, but did not create dangerous opportunities, the defense of the Oradea formation doing brilliantly, a fact that also pleased the coach Florin Farcaș, who at the end appreciated the evolution of his students.
Last week, FC Bihor mathematically ensured its qualification for promotion to the Second League, following the 0-2 result between CSC Peciu Nou and Politehnica Timișoara.
