On the day when the Government meets in Timisoara to pass a GD regarding the city’s new stadium, Druckeria asks Timisoara politicians to put aside their pride and political games regarding this goal. The intervention comes after several exchanges of words between the president of CJ Timiş, Alin Nica, and Alfred Simonis, the president of PSD Timiş.

Today, in Timişoara, the Executive will give a Government Decision approving the technical-economic indicators for the new Timişoara stadium, an objective that has been talked about for almost two decades. However, the event was met by some disputes, initially the president of the CJ Timiş, Alin Nica, refused to offer a hall of the institution for the event. Poli’s supporters intervened on this topic.

“We are less than a year away from the large-scale protest “TIMIțOARA WANTS RESPECT!” which I initiated and more than two years after the moment when the Dan Păltinişanu stadium was closed for sports competitions due to problems with the structure and the electrical installation. The Government of Romania is meeting today in a special meeting in Timișoara to issue the decision approving the investment of 837 million lei for the construction of the new stadium in Timișoara, which will have a minimum of 30,000 seats”. those from Druckeria sent.

The supporters ask the local politicians to put their pride aside and unite their forces around this initiative.

“On this occasion, we make a new public call to all politicians and the authorities they lead to consider this project as a strategic one for the sports future of our city and to act accordingly. We express our hope that in the end prides, interests and political games will be put on the back burner and that the stages of the construction of the new Dan Păltinișanu stadium, so necessary for Timisoara, will be completed according to the established calendar, regardless of the results of this year’s elections. Timișoara needs understanding, collaboration and urgent investments in large sports infrastructure to make up for lost time. Timișoara demands RESPECT, directly proportional to our contribution to Romania’s economy. Let’s unite the voices!”, assured those from Druckeria.
