Built in 1904 of stone and brick

The building located on Mitropoliei street no. 14 from Sibiu is an emblematic one for Sibiu.

“Built in 1904 from brick and stone, this building is an example of authentic and sustainable architecture. With a height regime consisting of basement, ground floor and first floor, it offers a versatile setting for various commercial or residential needs”, states the announcement posted by Poșta Română.

The Post Office in Sibiu opened on February 1, 1874, but the headquarters was only inaugurated on October 1, 1904, states the historian Răzvan Pop on his blog.

The building was built on two medieval plots, one belonging to the orator JG Bayer, at the intersection of Poštea (Bayer) and Mitropolia (Măcelarilor) streets, being considered a historicist-eclectic building.

The space rented by the Post Office has a usable area of 114 square meters and “an impressive street frontage of 12.5 square meters”, as stated in the announcement

“This is an ideal choice for those looking for a spacious and well-positioned space in the heart of the city.

With five spacious and semi-detached rooms, this building lends itself perfectly to various uses, from offices to commercial or even residential spaces. Every detail retains the charm and authenticity of its period of construction, offering a setting full of character and potential,” the announcement reads.
