The citizens of Bucharest found their cars, on Wednesday morning, covered with a reddish layer, according to the images sent by the readers.
The National Meteorological Administration announced that an air mass loaded with Saharan dust will be over Romania on Tuesday and in the first part of Wednesday.
Queues formed at some car washes on Wednesday morning, the G4Media reporter noted.
“Between April 23 at 09:00 and April 24 at 13:00, the air circulation, predominantly south-westerly, will favor the advance from the north of Africa of an air mass loaded with dust particles of Saharan origin, towards the south-east of Europe. This air mass will be over Romania on Tuesday (April 23) and in the first part of Wednesday (April 24)”, states the ANM.
Dust deposits can be observed in the areas and in the intervals in which it will rain.
In the afternoon of Wednesday, the air mass loaded with Saharan dust particles will move to the northeast and away from Romania.
