PNL spokesperson Ionuţ Stroe, after participating in the event that marked the extension of the M4 metro line, says that in Bucharest, the PNL-PSD Alliance was created so that the city’s big projects can be realized. He assures that all efforts will be made so that Cătălin Cîrstoiu has a record result, and after June 9 “Bucharest will finally have a visionary mayor”.

Stroe: The PNL-PSD alliance was created so that the big projects of Bucharest could be done

“In Bucharest, the PNL-PSD Alliance was created so that the big projects of this city can be realized. A big project is also that of the mayor Daniel Băluţă, for the extension of the M4 metro line between Nord Station and Progresul Station. Together with the mayor of Sector 4, Daniel Băluţă, and the PNL-PSD candidate for the Capital City Hall, Catălin Cîrstoiu, I participated in the event marking the extension of the M4 metro line.

It is a unique, very important project, the first of its kind undertaken by a Romanian town hall. PNL Sector 4, the organization that I lead, has had the political maturity necessary in the last 8 years to support important projects, such as this highway or the Tudor Arghezi metro station and the Park and Ride type car park, which you see in the photos and which was full of cars today. The interest of the citizens is above the political affiliation of the mayors! We will continue in the same way,” Stroe wrote on Facebook.

In his opinion, there is a need for collaboration between the sectors in Bucharest and the neighboring localities, as the transport problems of Bucharest residents do not stop at sector boundaries, and “the PNL-PSD alliance puts major projects for Bucharest residents first”.

“We will make every effort so that Cătălin Cîrstoiu has a record result, and after June 9, Bucharest finally has a mayor with vision, who knows what he has to do and can bring the projects to a successful conclusion”, emphasized the spokesperson of the PNL.
The City Hall of Sector 4 has posted in the Electronic Public Procurement System (SICAP) the award documentation regarding the public tender in order to designate the builder of the M4 metro line Nord Station – Progresul Station.

In order to achieve this objective, the City Hall of Sector 4 has already submitted the request for financing in the total amount of 2.5 billion euros, non-refundable European money, which will be accessed through the “Transport Program” of the European Union 2021-2027. The route of the new M4 metro line will have a number of 14 stations, which will be laid out over a total length of approximately 12 kilometers, between the Gara de Nord 2 station and the Gara Progresul station, and which will cross the territory of sectors 1, 4 and 5, as well as Jilava commune from Ilfov county.
