ISU Neamț was on high alert following the manifestation of dangerous weather phenomena that hit the county, especially the municipalities of Roman and Piatra-Neamț. Meteorologists have issued an orange code for strong winds, which is followed by a yellow code, with dangerous weather phenomena causing numerous damages.

In the municipality of Roman, crews from ISU Neamț, together with the Voluntary Service for Emergency Situations (SVSU) Roman, intervened to remove some water drainage elements detached from the roof of a block of flats, as well as to remove several trees that had fallen over the electrical network . Similar situations were managed on Doctor Iacomi Street in Piatra-Neamț, where they intervened to remove some construction elements detached from the facade of a block.

Also, on DN 15B, in the Pipirig commune, intervention was required to remove a tree that had fallen on the roadway, and in Roman, on Vlad Țepeș street, the crews acted to remove some construction elements detached from the roof of a block of flats.

More than 20 notifications were received by calling 112, most of them referring to pieces detached from the roofs of the buildings, with the risk of falling and causing accidents.

We remind you that the meteorologists have issued an ORANGE CODE of strong wind until 18:00, and until 22:00, Neamț County is still under a YELLOW CODE of wind and storm.

As a result of the manifestation of dangerous weather phenomena, forces and means of intervention within ISU Neamț acted to limit the effects produced, as follows:

  • in the municipality of Roman, on Roman Mușat boulevard, it intervened together with SVSU Roman for the removal of some water drainage elements (culvert) from the roof of a four-story building;
  • in the municipality of Roman, on Anton Pann street and Roman Mușat boulevard, it intervened together with SVSU Roman to remove trees that had fallen over the wires of the electrical network;
  • in the municipality of Piatra-Neamț, on Doctor Iacomi street, an intervention was made to remove some construction elements (insulation) from the facade of a four-story block;
  • on DN 15B, in the commune of Pipirig, together with the SVSU, they intervened to remove a fallen tree on the roadway;
  • in the municipality of Roman on Vlad Țepeș street, together with the SVSU intervened to remove construction elements detached from the roof of a block of flats.
  • At the moment, in the municipality of Piatra-Neamț, there are several notifications regarding the fact that pieces of the roofs of several apartment blocks have come off and there is a risk of them falling.
  • UPDATE (8:23 p.m.) – there was also an intervention on Petru Rareș Street in the Piatra-Neamț municipality to remove pieces of the roof of a building that had fallen onto 2 cars and the roadway.
  • UPDATE (20:55) – A fire crew from the Roznov Work Station and members of SVSU Săvinești intervene at this moment to remove a tree that fell on a house in Săvinești
  • UPDATE (21:00) – As a result of the code orange weather warning issued for Neamț county, Delgaz Grid informed us that the towns of Valea Ursului and Giurgeni are affected in terms of electricity supply. 821 consumers are not supplied with electricity. We are working to remedy the situation.
