The gendarmes within the operative structures of the “Tudor Vladimirescu” Gorj County Gendarmerie Inspectorate perform identity verification with the help of smartphone-type mobile devices. These devices will have a special application installed that gives access to the databases belonging to the Romanian Authorities and those belonging to the Schengen Area, for operational purposes.
This measure aims to optimize and modernize the process of verifying the identity of people in the field, giving gendarmes quick access to crucial information in real time. By using smartphones equipped with the appropriate application, the gendarmes will be able to quickly check a person’s data in any operational situation, thus facilitating the efficient management of various public security or public order situations.
This initiative represents an important step in the direction of modernizing the equipment and procedures within the “Tudor Vladimirescu” Gorj County Gendarmerie Inspectorate, strengthening the operational capabilities of the institution in the field of ensuring public order and safety.
