> The first leg will take place tomorrow, in Bucharest
LPS Suceava will fight for a place in the grand final with FC Player Bucharest. The meeting will be contested in a double leg, the first one to take place tomorrow, April 3, in Bucharest, and then, on April 17, in Suceava.
LPS Suceava qualified for the semi-finals of the Romanian U17 Football Cup, after defeating LPS Satu Mare at home, with a score of 2-0.
The team coached by Andrei Itco reached the aces of the competition thanks to the goals scored by Cristian David and Florin Scutariu.
“It is a qualification that everyone has been waiting for and wanting. It came perhaps a little harder than we expected. The injured players were missing, but those who replaced them did their job. All in all, it’s a victory that puts us among the top four teams in the country, and I’m confident that we’ll do well in the semifinals. We want and have made a request to the City Hall to play the semi-final at the Areni stadium. Maybe we will be able to do some training there to get used to the grass, taking into account that we only train and play on synthetic,” said coach Andrei Itco.
In the other semifinal, Daco-Getica Bucharest and CSC Şelimbăr will meet.
