By lunchtime, firefighters intervened in different areas of Bucharest, to remove trees that fell over three cars and over the roadway.

According to ISUBIF, there were problems on Izvorul Crișului alley, where a tree fell on the roadway. Also, on Calea Griviței 97, a tree fell on a car, as well as on Matăsari str. and Secuilor str.

At the same time, a billboard fell at the intersection between Calea Moșilor and Carol boulevard.

There are also problems in Prahova, also affected by the orange wind code. Several trees fell on the road or over the electric cables in Azuga, Buşteni, DN1 – Parallel 45, Berceni and the municipality of Ploiesti, and more than 5,000 consumers in 9 localities were left without electricity, reports Agerpres.

The whole country, under orange and yellow wind and gale codes

Today, the entire country is under code orange and yellow for strong winds and gales.

According to ANM, the wind will have sustained intensifications throughout the country and there will be speeds in general of 80-85 km/h. At high altitudes in mountainous areas, gusts will exceed 120 km/h, according to meteorologists.

The yellow wind code is in effect on Tuesday, April 2, between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. The Orange Wind Code takes effect Tuesday, April 2, also at 8:00 a.m., and expires at 6:00 p.m. the same day. Photo: meteoromania.ro
